Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), the renowned Indian IT major, has recently revealed changes in its senior management positions (SMP). In an exchange filing with the Indian stock market, TCS informed that K Ananth Krishnan, the current executive vice-president, will be stepping down from the SMP on July 31, 2023, due to his scheduled retirement in October 2023. The company also disclosed the appointment of Dr Harrick Vin as the new SMP, effective from August 1, 2023, to fill the vacated position. Additionally, there have been other designations to the SMP, with Rajashree R no longer being part of the senior management team. 1. Dr Harrick Vin - Chief Services Innovation Officer:

Dr Harrick Vin, a TCS Fellow with over three decades of combined experience in academia and industry, will be assuming the role of Chief Services Innovation Officer at TCS. Prior to this appointment, Dr Harrick headed TCS Digitate, showcasing his expertise in the digital domain. He is a distinguished Alumnus of IIT Mumbai and holds a prestigious fellowship from the Indian National Academy of Engineering (INAE). Before joining TCS, Dr Harrick served as a Professor of Computer Sciences at the University of Texas at Austin for 15 years, further solidifying his deep knowledge in the field.

2. Shankar Narayanan - Senior Vice President:

Shankar Narayanan, an accomplished professional with an impressive tenure of over 30 years at TCS, has been designated as a Senior Vice President. His wealth of experience has seen him in various crucial roles, including Global Head of the Retail, CPG, Travel & Hospitality businesses, as well as leading Business Excellence & Transformation of large accounts. Additionally, Shankar has played a pivotal role in the growth of TCS’ UK and Ireland market, overseeing business strategy, sales, operations, and delivery while nurturing executive relationships with customers.

3. V Rajanna - Senior Vice President:

With an illustrious career spanning 32 years in the IT industry, V Rajanna is now a Senior Vice President at TCS and holds the position of Head of the Communications, Media, and Technology businesses. Rajanna's longstanding association with TCS, spanning almost 29 years, has contributed significantly to his expertise. Prior to his current role, he served as the Head of the Technology Business Unit and played a key role in the growth and success of TCS' Hyderabad location.

4. Siva Ganesan - Senior Vice President:

As a Senior Vice President, Siva Ganesan is now the Global Head of the Microsoft Business Unit at TCS. With a remarkable tenure of over 32 years at the company, he boasts extensive experience in sales, solutioning, operations, program management, delivery, and global account management. Previously, Siva led TCS' Travel, Transportation, and Hospitality businesses, showcasing his versatility and prowess in various domains.
